The 1943 wartime postcard depicts the Scottish town of Douglas overlooking the river and a distinctive wooden bridge. It documents correspondence inside the Polish Armed Forces in the West - the sender named Kazik sends private greetings to soldier Walerian Kotowicz (unit G. 31). The card is a unique historical testimony due to its complete set of markings: a British stamp with King George VI and the clear stamps of both the British Field Post Office (Field Post Office 251) and the Polish Field Post Office No. 1.
Dimensions: 9cm x 14cm.
