Grain, patinated aluminum, dimensions: 63 x 31 x 32cm, unsigned, 2020
ARTIST ABOUT SCULPTURE:
The works Grain and Object are works created in 2020. They are sculptures made of welded, patinated and polished aluminum. The objects are abstract however they carry scraps of the author's ripped out memory. They were created during the isolation associated with the pandemic, a period in which I created abstract forms that are a kind of spatial automatic drawing. The form Grain may be associated with an open architectural vault, a kind of shelter, armour. The object, on the other hand, is a form that brings to mind something demonic, a mood of balance between extremes.
