Andrzej Heidrich (Warsaw 1928- Warsaw 2019) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw at the Faculty of Graphic Arts, defended his diploma in the studio of Prof. Jan Marcin Szancer. He was involved in applied graphics. He is the author of many designs for postage stamps and banknotes: the "Great Poles" series (1974-1993, in circulation 1975-1996) and "Kings and Princes of Poland" (1994, in circulation since 1995).
Andrzej Heidrich, in addition to his enormous output in the field of book design and graphic designs that each of us carries in our wallets, was the author of less obvious implementations: he created designs for passports, eagles on military caps, police badges, decorations for Polish soldiers fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan, land and municipal coats of arms.
