Empire table candlesticks

Foot diameter: 14 cm.
Probably Paris, around 1800.
In bronze, fire-gilt. A shaft tapering downwards rises from the relatively flat round base with a flat nodus at the top, above a vase-shaped spout with a removable candle holder insert. The shaft is finely chiseled and the base plate features classical symbols in relief, denoting the "Artes", such as: Music stand, column stump, painting easel, tripod, globe or ears of corn etc. (1421783) (1))
