Painter and printmaker. Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow from 1949 to 1954 in the studios of Prof. Fryderyk Pautsch, Prof. Adam Marczyński and Prof. Wacław Taranczewski. He earned his diploma in 1956 in Prof. Taranczewski's studio of monumental painting. In 1965, he was awarded a scholarship by the Belgian government to the École Nationale Superieure d'Architecture et des Arts Décoratifs de la Cambre. From 1954 to 1960, he collaborated with Prof. Taranchevsky. He worked on mural painting projects, such as the sgraffito on the town hall at Wolnica Square in Cracow. He designed and realized a mosaic in Karczów near Opole (cooperation with Ewa Buczyńska). In 1956, in Warsaw, he presented the first sports-themed monotypes made on the occasion of the Olympic Competition. In 1958, he participated in the organization of the Gallery of Modern Art in Nowa Huta. In the 1970s, he was chairman of the Artistic Council of the Painting Section of the ZPAP District Board in Cracow.
