Maria Bienkowska-Kopczynska
She began her artistic education at the High School of Fine Arts in Kielce at the Faculty of Sculpture. Before studying at the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, she received a diploma in the Study of Advertising.
In 1980, she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. She received an award from the Minister of Culture and Art for her diploma work. She is currently engaged in easel painting, which she has presented in more than 100 solo exhibitions and more than 200 group exhibitions at home and abroad.
Since 1980, she has been a member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers. She draws inspiration for her art from her numerous travels around the world. She has participated in many plein-airs and art workshops in Poland, France, Italy, Turkey, Greece, Hungary and Norway. These journeys have resulted in large series of paintings: "Carrara - Stones of Light", Senia, "Fjords", "Paths of Brittany", "Seas", "Birds", "Rivers", "Water Reflections", "Meadows". She paints landscapes, flowers, still lifes, birds, animals, figures. Her paintings have received numerous awards and prizes.
