Czartak is a hamlet of Mucharz directly bordering Świnna Poręba. The name Czartak comes from the ruins of an inn (zajazd) called Czartak, which stood here. The inn stood at the intersection of the main road with a path leading to the Mucharz train station, which does not exist today, and to the forester's lodge. The inn was described by Emil Zegadłowicz in his work "Smile."
