A graduate of the State High School of Fine Arts in Bydgoszcz and the Faculty of Fine Arts at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, where she earned a degree in easel painting in 2003 under the guidance of Prof. Jan Pręgowski. Marta Forc’s work focuses on the emotions that arise between people, the memory of places, and experiences that leave a lasting mark. The characteristic motif of birds is not a depiction of nature, but a metaphor for humanity—its freedom, closeness, and constant movement. The artist constructs her paintings using intense color, expressive gesture, and a multi-layered structure. Her inspiration comes from real-life experiences—travel, light, air, landscapes, and encounters with people—which, through the painting process, are transformed into a universal language of emotion. Her works do not illustrate reality but leave room for personal interpretation.
Marta Forc’s works are held in private collections, including in the United States, France, Germany, and the Netherlands. The artist has presented her works at solo and group exhibitions in Poland and abroad.
