Oksana Malanij (MalanijO) is a talented artist. Her wide range of skills includes graphic art, drawing, and painting. She draws inspiration mainly from Art Deco and Surrealism. Her work expresses positive emotions, uniquely blending abstraction and realism.
The artist’s expressive and meaningful paintings reveal a distinctive, intriguing style that she has developed over the years. Her works reveal a blend of hues and colors that subtly intermingle. One of the themes the artist explores concerns the perception and depiction in her paintings of a woman as a proud, dignified, admired, fascinated, and exploratory figure—yet at the same time, a person surrealistically adorned with elements of nature—in intriguing compositions highlighted by a touch of fantasy, taste, style, and a keen sense of aesthetics.Malanij paints her works on canvas—sometimes with a slightly visible texture—using acrylic or oil paints with the addition of metallic pigments (metallic flakes).
Raised in a family of architects, the artist pursued her educational and professional career in Volhynia. She graduated from the State Art School and subsequently earned a degree in interior design.
