Biography
Polish painter, graphic artist and stage designer. In 1926 he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. The artist's art was diverse, including illustration, graphic design and advertising art, but most focused on woodcuts with architectural and figural themes. In 1927, he took a job as a stage designer at the Popular Theater in Krakow, and then at the Grand Theater in Poznan. In the early 1930s, he went to study in Paris thanks to a scholarship from the Ministry of Religious Denominations and Public Enlightenment.
